Chloe Norgaard

Chloe Norgaard is one of the first indie models to sucessfully make it to high fashion runways. Walking for Nicole Miller, Rodarte, Moschino, and Roksanda Illincic, Chloe Norgaard has constantly adapting hair, whether it is ombre blue and green or bright purples. She has been able to integrate her dynamic hair into all aspects of the fashion industry. Although some may describe her as a new Charlotte Free, I think Chloe exudes a much brighter enthusiastic vibe than Charlotte ever did. Chloe has a beautiful fresh face. She also has the greatest eclectic and pop cult street style, consisting of furry coats to tattoo necklaces. She has been featured in campaigns for Planet Blue and is an in upcoming Forever 21 campaign alongside Josh Beech. Chloe also has recently spurred my new craving to dye and bleach my hair dry.

Not Your Average Joe's

Despite their name Not Your Average Joe's is actually pretty average. Their menu does not particularly veer  off the typical pasta, burger, pizza assortment. However, I do applaud them because their food is tastes great at a pretty reasonable price. Alright I admit I did not have the fish or the pizza, but I just had to include them because they are so beautiful. Every single time I go to NYAJ I ALWAYS get the spring rolls. Although the vegetable to noodle proportion is a bit off it has a spicy and cilantro taste that is just impeccable. Not to mention that almost all the spring rolls in other restaurants (particularly Chinese take out places) are deep fried atrocities, and in contrast the rice wrap seems like a piece of heaven. I also HIGHLY recommend the Butternut squash couscous.

Lastly, Not Your Average Joe's, if you see this, I would like you to know that I dislike that you serve cold, not warm, bread. Also, the overly dim lighting does not give an aura of luxury, instead it feels cheap and is very irritating.

Style twins!

My outfit:
Jacket: ASOS
Shirt: Goodwill
Pants: American Apparel
Shoes: Dr. Martens

This is my style twin. We share a lot of the same clothes and both have a love for studded things, pierced ears, and everything tumblr. This is the ultimate twinning picture. Besides my hideous facial expression.

Favorite looks so far @ NYFW F/W2013

Alright so, so far at this New York Fashion Week people are freaking out about the snow, the beanies at BCBG Maxamaria and Rebecca Minkoff. Here are my top four runway shows so far as I drool over the fall/winter 2013 world that I will never be a part of. Usually I don't cover runway shows on my blog simply because I love them ALL and I do not have the expertise to be a critical judge. But I felt up to it today, and I'm just adding in my laymen commentary.

1. Cushnie et Ochs' makeup look was right up my alley. Random slits and skin exposure was prevalent in the essentially black and white show. I just can't get over the makeup.

2. I don't think I can ever get over Jason Wu Spring Summer 2013. This show brought back similiar sheer fabrics and crriss-cross silhouette. I was very surprised to see Chanel Iman return back to runway. Both Cushnie et Ochs and Jason Wu seem to be inline with my new inclination for gladiator sandals.

3. Tadashi Shoji. Another makeup look I am loving, very similiar to that of Cushnie et Ochs. These gowns are very intricate and have similar styles to those of Elie Saab. So basically, nothing particularly groundbreaking.

4. Prabal Gurung. Peplum. Gladiator shoes. Oversized Knits. Blues and greens. Harnesses. I love the fresh silhouettes and wide spectrum of textures.

Vanessa has the cutest body type and the best selection of jewelry I have ever seen.
Here are three pictures of her that I always drool over.
